‘New Woman’ was previously thought to be titled ‘Brand New Día’, after BLACKPINK’s Lisa dropped a teaser for the song on X (formerly Twitter) with a caption featuring the lyric. The clip was accompanied by the Thai rapper showing off a star-shaped necklace visuals, while sporting pink hair and a matching leather jacket.
“Here I go / Bangin’ it, bangin’ it, wanna crack these walls / Bangin’ it, bangin’ it, wanna echo through the halls / Pullin’ up, fresh face, brand new día,” she raps on the snippet.

The teaser comes a little over a month after Lisa made her solo comeback with the single ‘Rockstar’. The song was her first release since she opted not to re-sign with YG Entertainment for solo management in December, subsequently launching LLOUD in February this year.
The Thai K-pop idol is slated to make an appearance at the Global Citizen Festival 2024 as a co-headliner alongside Post Malone, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll and Rauw Alejandro next month at the Central Park Great Lawn in New York City.
In related news, Lisa was recently appointed Louis Vuitton’s newest brand ambassador, shortly after she stepped down as fellow LVMH-owned brand Celine in June. Speaking of her appointment, the brand said that Lisa’s “achievements speak to values at the core of Louis Vuitton – a passion for creativity combined with a commitment to excellence in one’s craft”.
